Why do some people not like the outdoors?
I guess people could ask an equal and opposite question to me. “Why don’t you like nail polish or heels or short dresses?” Simple answer: I like to be comfortable. Nail polish chips and looks bad, heels are from the devil, and short dresses blow up in the wind. I’m not anti-girl at all. I love looking cute and doing my hair! But to be honest, I’d rather be outside exploring.
Two summers ago, I spent 5 weeks in the mountains of Honduras. A week of that included a 22 mile hike through rainforests, there and back. It was brutal, but it was incredible. (Pictures can be found here and here)
Anytime I’m with friends or my boyfriend, I want to go to Mt. Nebo, Lake Dardanelle, or Petit Jean. I want to hammock or hike or swim. I’ll suggest anything and everything. I love to take spontaneous trips to creeks and splash around. I love getting dirty and making awesome memories.
I suppose I’ll never understand people who don’t feel the same. The world is beautiful! It would be a crime to not explore every inch of it!
