The difference in demographics

Processed with VSCOcam with kk1 presetFrom first glance, you can tell that I am NOT from Russellville. Small town people generally have the same style – from my experience. And that’s okay! It’s just very…normal. They dress in tshirts and jeans on a daily basis. Girls have long hair and are classically beautiful. I am not those things.

I am from Fayetteville, the weirdest town in Arkansas. I could throw on a whole hippie get up and not get a second glance from someone. Fayetteville is unique and weird and spunky and I love it! But that’s why coming to Russellville is hard. I step out of my dorm and I get twenty weird looks. I have a pixie cut and wear weird hats. My glasses aren’t for style, they’re prescription. Nobody dresses like a Fayettevillian here and I get made fun of for it.

But why is that a thing? I think being true to yourself should be celebrated! I love dressing like a Fayettevillian and that’s okay! And so is dressing like everyone else. Who. Cares.
